We have had a fabulous start to the year, with all the children turning up keen and ready to learn.
We've hit the ground running writing our own version of There's a Wocket in My Pocket by Dr Seuss. We wrote There's a Dool in our School by Rimu Rua (it's up on our classroom wall if you want to take a look).
In Maths we've already started looking a place value and of course our basic facts.
Other time has been spent looking at our 'All About Me' topic and starting some Pop Art art work.
Our reading groups are ready to go and and we've already had a spelling assessment!
Phew we've been busy!
This week we've our Powhiri to welcome new students and families, and next week we start swimming.
